PDA
Anytime Louis sees kissing on the television he exclaims "EWWWW! Issings!" By far one of the newest cutest things he does.

Shapes & Other Art
Louis can identify circles, triangles, squares, hearts and stars. He likes it when I draw (badly drawn) scenes of himself with Leah and Gabriel.
He also asks me to draw various animals for him to identify. When Louis is an adult I think I will show him all these drawings so he can laugh as hard as I do now. I cannot draw. I come from a family of artists. My siblings all have artistic abilities, as does my father. I did not get that gene.
Still Louis loves whatever I produce no matter how absolutely awful it is.

Colors
The first color pointed out to me was purple. I wasn't surprised my this as it is Leah's favorite color and she wears quite a bit of it. For a few weeks EVERYTHING was purple. And if he wanted something? It has to be purple.
One day we were playing with Hot Wheels. I noticed he was sorting the cars by colors. He turned to me and said "Green" while holding a green car. I didn't even know he knew the color green. We don't sit down and 'practice' our colors. I just casually point things out as we're doing them. Everything has a narration throughout our day. Makes it less redundant for me and for Louis.
Then we went through a period of time where EVERYTHING was either purple or green. Funny kid.
The latest color he's learned came right at the start of the Autumn season. Orange. He LOVES orange. I thought he loved purple but orange has purple beat.
Today he took a bunch of colored hair elastics (who needs toys?!) and had me sort them with him into color piles. Red like Elmo, Yellow like Big Bird and Orange like Pumpkins. Color me suprised again! Now he knows red and yellow too? I am amazed at how quickly he absorbs information.
He's a lil smartie pants.
