A Splashing Good Time

Louis has been asking us for a water table for a few months now. We went out and picked up the one he wanted today. Instant fun.

 Louis had a good time soaking Gabriel. Good thing Gabriel loves water and didn't mind it one bit.

Louis the Caring

Louis loves to care for the baby dolls in the house. He has taken to caring for them this week while he recoups from his bout with croup. He wears them in his makeshift sling, feeds them, has me nurse them. He even pretends to change their diapers. Such a sweetie.

Mother's Day 2012

We started the day with brunch with Grandma Ruth, Grandpa George and Aunt Lindsay. Afterward we headed off to Queens to visit Nana Bernice. We ended up leaving a earlier than planned because Louis seemed to be under the weather. Upon coming home after fits of coughing and a rise in temperature he fell asleep. Upon waking he was having signs of stridor so we took him to the local pediatric urgent care clinic where they diagnosed and treated him for croup. Fortunately the treatment took to working right away and he was much better upon leaving.

My Lil Mall Rats

After our trip to the arboretum we headed over the mall. Matt and Leah went to see the Avengers while I walked around with the boys. Louis is a fan of Ikea so we stopped by there for a bit then they both fell asleep in the double stroller. This was a first.

Bailey Arborteum

There are so many places out here on Long Island that we have yet to visit. I have a growing list of things I'd like to do and fortunately the kids are totally up for it. Today we headed out to the Bailey Arboretum. It is a beautiful place, easy to walk trails. Plenty of picnic areas. They have some nice gardening, as well as perfect photo ops. The Children's Habitat leaves open a lot of creativity for the kids. We had a great visit and will be back soon. If you are out on Long Island and looking for some place to visit on the North Shore?
