3 months!

I can hardly believe it has been 3 months since Louis was born. He is a happy & healthy boy. Couldn't ask for more than that.

3 Month Developmental Milestones

Movement Milestones

* Raises head and chest when lying on stomach - he is getting much better at this especially if he has someone to entertain him laying in front of him.
* Supports upper body with arms when lying on stomach
* Stretches legs out and kicks when lying on stomach or back - he loves kicking his legs.
* Opens and shuts hands
* Pushes down on legs when feet are placed on a firm surface - not only does he push down but he also tries to stand.
* Brings hand to mouth - he does this and sucks on his hand, sometimes shoving his fist so far into his mouth he chokes himself. He is teething so I think it provides him with some relief.
* Takes swipes at dangling objects with hands - he just started doing this, keeps him entertained while in his carseat
* Grasps and shakes hand toys - shook & played with his first toy the other day, he shook the rattle lovey Leah got him.

Visual and Hearing Milestones

* Watches faces intently
* Follows moving objects
* Recognizes familiar objects and people at a distance
* Starts using hands and eyes in coordination
* Smiles at the sound of your voice
* Begins to babble
* Begins to imitate some sounds
* Turns head toward direction of sound

Social and Emotional Milestones

* Begins to develop a social smile
* Enjoys playing with other people and may cry when playing stops - he is enthralled with people, he rarely fusses but will cry his head off if you do not pay attention to him when he wants you.
* Becomes more communicative and expressive with face and body - he is definitely showing more of his personality as he grows older.
* Imitates some movements and facial expressions - if Leah makes funny faces at him he tries to imitate them. Very cute.
