While I was pregnant with Louis I looked at a lot of baby gear and was going to purchase a new stroller system. After a lot of research and thought about how often I actually used our stroller system with Leah it occurred to me it would be a wasteful purchase. Our Graco was in near perfect condition and worked well for everything I needed. I also noticed that I wore Leah a lot more when we were out and about so she didn't spend most of her time in a stroller. I started looking at carriers and found two that I loved. They also fit all of the requirements I felt a carrier needed to meet in order for me to use it with the baby. I am not a fan of carriers where a child dangles from their crotch and is forced to sit with their legs splayed before their hips are ready to do that. I also do not like carriers like the Bjorn where the child is forward facing.
One was the Maya Wrap which was similar to the ring sling I used with Leah and the other was the ErgoBaby Carrier. Both have turned out to be life savers for me. I received my Maya Wrap as a gift from Aunt Lindsay. I saved up to purchase the Ergo. The Ergo has turned out to be one of my best investments. I cannot say enough about it.
This is how Louis and I spend many hours during the week together at home, at work, out and about.
