City of Brotherly Love

Philadelphia was about an hour from our hotel so we headed there for a day trip. We walked around and visited the local historical sites.

The Liberty Bell - wasn't easy to stop Louis from attempting to ring the bell.

Washington Square

Tomb of the Unknown Revolutionary War Soldier

Outside of Independence Hall

Playground at Franklin Square -- Louis was so happy about the monkey bars.
He made it across on his first attempt.

On the Franklin Square Carousel

We tried to get a photo of the kids with this nice fall set up but they weren't having it.
Louis looks like he's posing for a political campaign ad.

The Count's Halloween Spooktacular!

We visited Sesame Place again. We had some rain check tickets from our last trip and a free extended weekend due to the schools being closed for Columbus Day. It was a chilly fall morning and there was rain in the forecast. This didn't change our plans--we made sure pack extra warm clothes and ponchos from our last trip to Niagara Falls. Having already been to Sesame Place earlier in the summer Louis was very excited about going back. While he took some time to warm up to the idea of seeing all the characters on our last visit, this time he was over the top excited. He was looking forward to all the Halloween costumes and decorations.

There were Halloween themed decorations, along with characters in costumes, various Trick or Treating stations set up around the park with all kinds of treats.
