When we walked up to ROM Louis became really excited. He loved the way the building looked from the outside. As soon as we went in he was off with Leah taking a look at the exhibits. They went from one to the next while Leah read the plaques of information to him.
The children's area of ROM is phenomenal and has lots of activities and toys for children ages 8 and under. Louis spent most of his time playing with their puzzles and various building activities.
Once we were done with the kids play we headed over to the mammals and dinosaurs.
As soon we walked across to where the dinosaur fossils were Louis was amazed. ROM has their dinosaur exhibit set up differently from what are used to at AMNH. It is also very nicely put together.
Louis' face was priceless. |

Day Five: Walking Tour of Downtown Toronto & CN Tower
After we finished with ROM we began our trek towards the CN Tower. We walked through to Kensington Market, Chinatown and Queens Street West. Louis fell asleep on the walk to Kensington Market and woke up when we made it to Queens Street West. We continued our walk downtown towards the CN Tower. It had a very long wait so we opted for heading down to the Habourfront for a while.
After a walk down to the Habourfront we headed back to the CN Tower to wait and eventually get up to the top of the tower. The line was long, it wrapped around the waiting area many times. We knew we were going to be waiting for at least 2 hours. It turned out to be much better than expected. Louis played alongside Leah and Gabriel and they managed to occupy themselves really well. We had snacks and there were other children waiting. All the parents and those without children were very understanding of all the kids running about. It was a nice group of people. Everyone was there, stuck for the same amount of time and made the best of it. Louis made friends with a girl who was on line with us and they played together by the windows.
Finally made it to the top and checking out the view.
